Health and Safety Concern
On Friday, January 20, 2023, CCID became aware of a Sanitary Sewage Overflow event concerning City of Los Banos facilities that impacted CCID’s Main Canal. CCID immediately took steps necessary to mitigate contamination and stop the transport of effluent. CCID is currently working closely with the City of Los Banos to remediate the affected area and return CCID’s system to service. A return to service of the District’s facilities will be subject to water quality tests affirming safe conditions. The District will provide further updates when available. Annual Grower Meeting
The CCID Board of Directors has scheduled a public meeting for the District’s landowners and consumers, including dinner, for Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at the O’Banion Building in the Los Banos Fairgrounds. The District will provide updates on 2023 was supply and rates, District activities, groundwater management, the irrigated lands program and water conservation and resource plans.
There will be a catered dinner which will be served at 6:00 p.m. and the informational presentation will start at approximately 7:00 p.m.
