2018 CCID Redfern Ranches Scholarship for Ag Leadership

- For 2018, the Central California Irrigation District (CCID) along with Redfern Ranches is sponsoring a scholarship, which will be available to any student who meets the following criteria:
- Be a continuing college student, either undergraduate or graduate level, who has completed at least two years of coursework at the time of the award of the scholarship; and
- Be a relative of one of the following:
- Landowner or consumer in CCID or in any of the other agencies of the Exchange Contractors (San Luis Canal Company, Firebaugh Canal Water District or Columbia Canal Company)
- Employee of a landowner or consumer in CCID or in any of the other agencies of the Exchange Contractors
- Employee or former employee of any of the above water agencies
- The scholarship will consist of at least $2,500.00. The money will be paid to the recipient after proof of registration at the beginning of the next semester or quarter.
- Applicants must submit an essay of a minimum of 300 words. The essay should include all of the following elements
- The applicants background and achievements
- Career goals
- How this scholarship award will assist the applicant in attaining their goals
- The criteria for selection will be academic merit, outside activities, career goals, and financial need.
- Essay contents (70%)
- Scholastic records (15%)
- All activities and service (15%)
- A three-panel consisting of the two members of the CCID Water Awareness Scholarship Committee plus a representative from Redfern Ranches will make the final selection.
- The application package is to be returned to the CCID Main Office, located at 1335

2018, and must include:
- A completed application form
- An unofficial copy of the transcript of completed course work
- The essay, as described in paragraph C above
